Nevada, P.S. I Love You Postcard Project—Nevada Humanities

As part of the 2019 Nevada Arts Council Basin to Range Cultural Exchange Program, Nevada Artists Candace Garlock (Truckee Madows Community College, Reno), Bobbie Ann Howell (Nevada Humanities, Las Vegas), and Cindy Whitaker (Cinderella Studio Photography, Winnemucca) created this fabulous initiative to connect people across the state.

The Nevada, P.S. I Love You Postcard Project asks you to make a handmade postcard and write a positive note about what you love about Nevada.

Following the 2023 Basin to Range (BRX) gathering, Art Barn Workshop teamed up with Bobbie Ann Howell and Liz Woolsey (Art Instructor & Owner of the Bristlecone General Store) to share the project with visitors at the beloved Bristlecone General Store in Baker, NV. Over 50 visitors took a few moments and many lingered to reflect and create something wonderful to share about Nevada with a neighbor- here’s just a few snapshot moments of what happens “when we say YES and Play!
